Last Sunday, David and I headed to the corn maze to meet up with Dagen, Marie, their beautiful girls and their dog, Ella.  It was a beautiful, hot sunny day.  This year for their annual photo, they wanted to have a sunflower farm and the corn maze had it.  We took a lot of photos in the amazing sunflower field with them.  We have been taking their family photos since Marie was pregnant with Danika and now both girls are teenagers.  Every year Marie and I try to come up with different ideas where to do their photos.  I was having a hard time because last year we me ..read more

This passed weekend, we met Meaghan and Caleb at the Stone Barn in Leduc to photograph their engagement photos.  This was our first time meeting them in person, but that was hard to tell as we just seemed to hit it off with them right away and talked like they were old friends!  Their wedding will be in Ponoka where they live in September.  I have been texting back and forth for a bit with Meaghan and learned that she really wants sunflower photos included with her wedding but as with any Alberta Fall, it is never guaranteed that they will still bee in bloom.  However ..read more

I have fallen a bit behind on my blogs.  I'm blaming it a bit on the amazing summer weather we have been having and just being very busy with our photography as well.     A couple weeks ago, David and I were honoured to photograph the wedding of Jenn and Brian.  These two are so sweet and love each other so much, it was really amazing to spend their day with them. They also have two amazing children who were part of the wedding party and they were so polite and easy to work with as well. The weather turned out so nice and we got some great shots at the Legislature Ground wi ..read more

I am a bit behind on my blog post for this wedding.  Last week was very busy for us.  We headed out to Spruce Grove to the Holiday Inn Express for Krysta's getting ready photos.  The room was a buzz with activity as the makeup artist, Amanda from Store Hair and Art was working on Krysta.  The hairstylist, Caroline was standing by to do last minute touch ups and to help with putting on the cathedral length veil.  The bridesmaids were all getting ready and Krysta's mom and grandma were there to help get Krysta and Kevin's daughter ready in her beautiful pink dress as wel ..read more

Last Sunday, David and I headed to Henrietta Muir Edwards Park to photograph the gorgeous Meagan and Michael for their engagement.  It was a beautiful, but windy day.  We had such a great time with them.  They are so comfortable with each other that no matter what pose we asked of them, you could definitely see the connection between Meagan and Michael.  We cannot wait to work with them again for their September wedding! Thank you so much, Meagan and Michael for choosing David and I to capture these special moments in your life.   Spring Engagement photography at Henri ..read more

Last Saturday, David and I headed downtown to the Lee Pavilion at The Citadel to meet up with Kim and Gerry and their family to photograph their formal photos.  What a beautiful group they were!  Kim looked stunning in her dress from David's Bridal and Gerry was dashing in his Tuxedo from Derks.  It was also such a beautiful day outside, that we decided to get some photos of just the two of them by The Art Gallery.  After, we headed down by the Walterdale Bridge to get a few more shots of them before driving just up the road to the Edmonton Kinsmen Club for their ceremony w ..read more

Last Sunday, David and were again headed down to Kinsmen Park to photograph the engagement of Carey and Luiz.  What a stylish and fun couple!  Carey and Luiz decided they wanted some of the old buildings at J. Walter museum in their photos along with the Walterdale Bridge.  David and I were more than happy to be at this fantastic location!  It was another beautiful winter day with just enough snow on the ground to capture the winter engagement that Carey and Luiz had been wanting.  Love was definitely in the air between these two and it was so great to capture the look ..read more

A couple Fridays ago, David went solo in meeting with Tim and Corinne at the beautiful Muttart Conservatory to photograph their elopement.  I was very sad to not be able to be there as well, but circumstances would not allow me to be.  David was very happy to meet these two lovely people and not only capture their beautiful elopement but also be one of their witnesses.  They had a beautiful ceremony followed by some photos in each of the pyramids before Tim and Corinne headed off for supper followed by their wedding night at the stunning Hotel MacDonald.   Thank you so much ..read more

On Saturday, David and I headed to our favourite fall location for photos - Hawrelak Park.  We were meeting Debbie, her family, her two sisters and their family along with their Mom for family photos.  Debbie's two boys and my boys grew up in the same neighbourhood and we pretty much saw our children grow up.  Though I have to admit, five years being out of the neighbourhood, her boys, Rick and Tim have definitely grown up and changed.   This group was a lot of fun to photograph and you could tell they were a close knit family which was so nice to see.  Despite it bein ..read more

Last Sunday, David and I headed out to meet Faith at Government House to do a portrait session with her.  We have photographed her with her fiancĂ©, Chad not too long ago.  Faith is this amazing lady with a very contagious smile.  She has such a positive attitude and David and I love working with her.  I felt an immediate connection with her during her engagement shoot and I was so excited to hear from her wanting to do a solo session this time.   At times it is like Faith can read my mind, I can be starting to tell David how I want to pose her for the next photo o ..read more
