When Gracie Grzesk signed with the Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball team in November, they knew they were getting a special player. Now, they know they’re getting a record-setter. Grzesk, the 5-foot-11 forward from Green Bay, Wis., represented a coup for the Badgers from a recruiting standpoint. She had close to 20 Division I offers when she committed to Wisconsin as a junior. Two Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey players were named to Sterling Trophy Western Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week honors on Monday. The awards were based on play from Jan. 1-8. Britta Curl was named forward of the week and Cassie Hall was named rookie of the week.
