I've had a Charles Daly Zastava Mauser in 30-06 for a while. I got it off Gunbroker quite a while ago as a barrelled action. It was an accurate rifle for a parts gun but has been a safe queen. I have several good , accurate 30-06 rifles so I decided to use this one as a donor. I've been looking for an action to build a 22-250(see my post in the gun trading post) on so I pulled the barrel and installed the 22-250 barrel. Headspace checks out perfect. I have an accepted offer on a "bargain basement priced" Mauser 3000 rifle in .270 that appears to be in really nice shape with the exception of some pitting on the underside of the barrel. I am wondering if the appearance can be improved. I've looked at videos on various methods of removing the rust like rubbing with an old copper penny, burnishing with a copper scouring pad and oil or 0000 steel wool and oil with good results but of course, the... Hi I have a Winchester Model 94, 30-30 and I’m trying to “install” it a Hi-Lux Vintage sight. I have the kit that came specifically for the Model 94, but I’m having problems with the screws that should hold the rear “sight holder” the ones that came with the rifle at the left side go through the holes of “sight holder”.
