Hello fine folks! I'm in Commerce Ga. I have a Marlin 1894 in 38-40 that seems to function wonderfully except the fireing pin is not working. My wife n I looked on youtube and other online articles on how to check fireing pin. But we can not get one of the pins in the bolt to punch out. (I do not have a proffessional punch, nor would I hit it hard as I could), But one pin will not move as easy as the other did. I’ve assembled maybe a dozen ARs and never paid any mind to head spacing. I just swapped barrels on one and came across a lengthy debate on the topic that led me to buying a couple “field” gauges to make sure I’m not too long. Well, I was fortunate to finally find a new stock for my ‘86 Browning Abolt in .243. It’s a Hunter model, but it had the Medallion stock. We bought it at Franklins in Athens in 1988. I think the guy told my dad it was some sort of special order they got from Browning. This was the first rifle of my very own and it’s shot a bunch over the years. I recently bought a Remington 870 pump 410 gauge. It does not have a swivel magazine cap and i would like to put a sling on the shotgun. The present cap has a plastic or nylon insert in the cap that looks like it could be pushed out and replaced with hardware for a sling, but i am not sure. In looking for a swivel cap, I have found plenty for 12, 16 and 20 gauge, but I can' find one for the 870 pump 410.
