Hey guys, I’m hoping someone out there is familiar with the Beretta 600 series. I was shooting yesterday and the gun didn’t cock after reloading. A few weeks ago I had a problem with the bottom barrel not cocking but some lubricant on the firing pin seemed to help. Yesterday I noticed that the round pin in the pictures seems to be bent upwards. I have a reassembly problem with a Retay Gordion 12 ga. After reassembly (basic field strip - did not disassemble the bolt or the trigger assembly), the bolt will lock back but when the bolt release is engaged, the bolt will not go forward (unless it is forced). I couldn't see where either the trigger assembly or bolt was reinstalled incorrectly. I'm wondering if there is a trick or maybe something simple I'm missing. I have an old 700 Sendero in 300 Win Mag that already has the barrel removed. I want to rebarrel it and change the caliber to 257 Weatherby this summer. Question is should I have a gunsmith do the work or just send it to a barrel maker and have them do the whole thing ? I see that several barrel makers offer this service.
