Hello I have an interarms mark x in 7mm mag. It was passed down to me from my dad. It is a custom built rifle with a different barrel. I will attach some pics. When he was hunting out of state, the horse he was on got spooked and the stock had been broke. The guide had it fixed. Well as of yesterday it has rebroke and I’m looking for something very similar to replace it. I also have another in 7mm mag that I bought when I was 20 yrs old,42 yrs later it’s still my go to gun. Love the guns... Need a new stock. Any help would be grateful ..read more

Considerations in building a 308, AR10

This is a pie in the sky question. AR10 with good optics, fine accuracy out to at least 300 yds If you were to build a rarely fine shooting AR10 from readily available components and wanted to be sure it continued to shoot well over time, was easily maintained, while being as light as is reasonable, what considerations would you say are most important? Proper Recoil Spring for STI 9mm

I'm trying to solve an issue with a friends STI 9mm pistol. It's a DVC Open model, and I have zero experience with these pistols.... What the prob is, is it fails to cycle properly when firing 9mm minor ammo. He has an eight pound recoil spring installed right now, and is thinking a heavier spring would help... My thought though, is that a lighter spring would allow the slide to cycle more positively, vs a heavier (say 12 lb) spring would. He says he's been told a heavier spring is whats... Info desired on Charles A. Diller barrels

Hi everyone! I'm a new member to Shooters Forum, and I'm searching for some information on Charles A. Diller, a barrel maker in Dayton, Ohio in the mid-20th century. I believe he passed away in the late 1950s/early 1960s. I'd specifically like to know the barrel dimensions , breech and muzzle, of a Diller Number 3 barrel. Since he listed his barrels by number, did he print a pamphlet/brochure listing his barrel sizes? If he did, it would make sense that he would list dimensions to go with... Info desired on Charles A. Hey all I have an MLR by Miroku with a steel frame, the one with the mag hanging out the bottom. I have found a BLR by Browning (pre 81 I think they call it?) Looking at it, the BOLT looks the same with the locking lugs visible when action is closed (exactly like the MLR). The mag however does look different, being more of a flush fit. Does anyone know for sure IF the mag well is one and the same? I am fully aware of the newer alloy press fit BLR's and their vastly different mags. Any... MLR v BLR magazine (Steel Frame ..read more

Just purchased one of these. Seems to be well made and reasonbly accurate. The only problem is the 'pull up" type latch to break the gun open is extremely difficult to operate. I have lubed it but it is very difficult to get the gun open. Anybody familiar with this gun and the latch? My hands are sore and tender from pulling up on this thing. I can't get off more than one reload in 5 minutes ..read more

Winchester .22M Odd Behavior

Hi. I inherited a Winchester .22M from my grandfather. Cleaned it and oiled it. Bought some CCI Maxi Mag TNT 22 WMR shells. It loads the shell into the chamber, fires fine but is not pulling the spent cartridge out from the barrel and ejecting it. If I clear the shell out, cock the firearm again and re-cock it - it ejects the unshot round perfectly every time. Just wont pull out a spent shell. I push a small brass rod into the barrel and push out the empty casing but there is some... Winchester .22M Odd Behavior ..read more

Hello. I have my 9 UC Pro frame ALMOST completely stripped. For the life of me I can't find anywhere here, or anywhere else, a post, article or video on how to remove the slide catch (or the dissasembly lever either). Does anyone have any knowledge as to how I can remove the slide catch? Or, can you direct me to a post where someone has done so. I am polishing out the frame and would love to get these two levers (slide catch and take down lever) off so that I can polish them and behind... Slide Catch Removal ..read more
