Oscar Tshiebwe will make his decision public at 5 p.m. ET. Wednesday but the 2022 National Player of the Year is expected to turn pro. According to Travis Branham of 247Sports, Tshiebwe is expected to pursue a professional career and end his time at the University of Kentucky, barring any unforeseen changes. We will have to wait until 5:00 p.m. to receive official word. Antonio Reeves and Chris Livingston also have to make decisions before the 11:59 deadline Wednesday night. It’s decision day for Oscar Tshiebwe, Antonio Reeves, and Chris Livingston. Players have until 11:59 p.m. to withdraw their name from the NBA Draft and return for another season of collegiate eligibility. At this point, we don’t know for certain which direction the trio is leaning but we do know that Kentucky currently has seven scholarship players, five of those incoming freshmen. Kentucky landed one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 class Thursday morning. Cutter Boley, a four-star talent and No. 6 overall quarterback in the 247Sports Composite, chose the Wildcats Thursday morning at Lexington Christian Academy. Boley will reclassify to 2024 and join the Kentucky program in January. As a sophomore at LCA, Boley led the state in passing yards with 3,901. Sahvir Wheeler entered the transfer portal last month after two seasons at Kentucky. The former Kentucky point guard will take advantage of the COVID year and play one final season of collegiate basketball. A former Bob Cousy Award finalist, Wheeler spent the first two seasons of his career at Georgia, where he averaged 7.7 points and 5.6 assists per game for the Bulldogs.
