I have put off moving from Digital TV to Ignite as long as possible, but the time has arrived. After reading the Rogers website, it seems that installation cannot be completed without the using the Ignite App, even with professional installation. I am one of 5 people in Canada that does not own a smartphone. I am retired and home most of the time, so I still have a home phone and do not need or want a smart phone. I don't know where to post this so I'll try here since Rogers now owns Shaw Direct. I want to use our RV park's analogue cable tv now that Shaw Direct is defunct here. I use antenna, cable tv and cable internet. All work fine except when I turn on my antenna amplifier (Winegard Sensar Pro). Apparently something in the amplifier is feeding some kind of signal down the cable TV coax to the splitter at the post and that's cutting my internet speed to <5% of what it usually is (470Mbps to... Hi folks. I've gone through the move from Shaw Mobile to Rogers and it wasn't quick or easy, nor fun. But at least that's behind me now. So next up will be the shift to Rogers Cable I guess. I've heard rumours of it happening, but I called both Rogers and Eastlink and have got nothing but vague responses. That may mean it's happening but hasn't been announced, or the CSR's I talked to just don't know anything. Has anyone here heard anything at all. I will be buying a new house in a month or two and won't be able to stay with Eastlink. It's just horrible. I went to their site today and saw that, as of June 1, 2023, Source Cable TV service will end permanently. I'm sure that means their older Digital Cable service. My guess is that this is the month when all remaining Source residential clients are being migrated to Ignite. A few weeks ago, all the Stingray music channels in my Ignite TV package vanished. A few days later, one of them came back (the 1980s channel). That one just disappeared again yesterday. If I click on it in the list of recent channels, it takes me to a "third party app" - which works, but it's less useful as it immediately exits if I try to do anything else, like calling up the guide (I like to have the music playing in the background while I scroll through the guide). There's always been a green wire running from the gray Rogers box on the outside of my house to a clamp attached to my hydro box. I noticed this afternoon that it's hanging loose and is no longer attached to the hydro box. Hmmm...I checked my neighbour's - also dangling loose.
