For several weeks now, I have tried to get Google to send an online radio station to my Chromecast audio. I finally got it to say that it was sending audio to <device>. It still wouldn't actually do it. At first. I thought my my Chromecast audio wasn't working but it works fine when I send audio from my phone or computer. When I asked my speaker why it wasn't working, it said it was sending information to my phone. The help it sent, the only help I could find, is help getting the Chromecast audio working. As I said, it's working fine. Is Google getting dumber? This same command worked f ..read more

I wanted to change the shortcut buttons on my remote to media controls, but it keeps displaying "Select your favorite YouTube app" whenever I try to change my youtube button. Is there a way to disable that screen? The netflix button doesn't do this. Edit: Someone said in comments, go into troubleshooting section in Button Mapper and enable "Alternate button handling" and it will work. submitted by /u/loungensmirtz [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I connected my Chromecast with Google tv to a spare monitor from work. Paired it with a Bluetooth speaker. And it functions like a streaming tv with volume controls. Pretty slick for a temporary setup. submitted by /u/Status-Somewhere-737 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

New Max App not detecting devices

Using an iphone the new HBO app Max, which otherwise operates fine, finds no devices to cast to when selecting chromecast. I have confirmed I can cast fine to the same devices using Netflix and YouTube app on my iphone. Additionally my spouses android phone works fine to cast to these same devices using the max app. I've restarted my phone. Updated, closed out, and restarted both the max and home application. Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone think of anything else to try? submitted by /u/tmz773 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey, so i just installed 64gb thumb drive as ccwgtv storage as 4gb wasnt sufficent enough, and now comes my question - which file manager will be the best and how do i access thumb drive files via it? i tried plenty of them, tv file commander was the best from the ones i've tried but i cannot access my thumb drive contents from there, and i would like to manually move some downloads there, create folders and such, maybe i need to do something with perms via adb? tia submitted by /u/Roki100 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
