Recently picked up a Google TV Chromecast 1080p. Didn’t go for the 4K option, as the TV I’m using is older and only supports 1080p. All streaming apps have worked fine, except specifically for live sports streams. Even weirder, the ads during the sports stream, the halftime shows, and any other non-game part of the stream are also working completely fine. These are legal sports streaming apps. Since roughly one month ago, I have been receiving a barrage of "shared controls" notifications while casting. I'd say they pop up about every 10 minutes, and remain there until dismissed. My wife's phone has the same issue, so I'm a bit surprised I haven't found anyone else complaining about this online. Anyone else seen this? Since about a week or so ago ive been having an issue where playing youtube videos on my TVs chromecast will result in the playback stopping and freezing on my pc. Is there anyway we can improve the recommendations? I really hate the "live" style FAST TV, plus the recommendations it seem generally gone down hill. Right now of the 20 listed in the Top Picks section, 10 are for "Live" episodes of stuff like Baywatch that I wouldn't even watch if it wasn't "live", 6 are for multihour long music videos on Youtube (which I never do), 3 are for Youtube videos I've already watched, which leaves 1 of the 20 as something I might actually watch. I just bought the Chromecast HD, and it's plugged into my Onkyo home theater receiver via HDMI (ARC) The HDMI output from the receiver goes to my TV, and I stream music from Amazon Music or YouTube Music through Chromecast to enjoy it through my home theater speakers, which support Atmos.
