As these days I have a smart TV with reasonable apps, I only use the Chromecast for NBA League Pass via their official app.
The quality is terrible. I’ve factory reset, the Chromecast is 3 feet away from the Google WiFi router, I have a gigabit connection and usually get a connection in the high hundreds all around the apartment.
When I go into the Google Home app and into WiFi, I see the connection between the Google WiFi and the Chromecast Ultra is “Weak”.
I’ve not seen one solution that works.

Hi, I've got my Chromecast for a week now and since the secknd day I have to power off the Chromecast and start it again in order to show the image on my TV. I've already tried to reset it to default 3 times and configure all over, but even after, I've got same issue. In addition, Chromecast is visible in Google Home app on my Android smartphone. Hi,
Recently i tried to cast youtube to my TV (through the chromecast) but besides the big youtube logo it wont connect, and it says "something went wrong" but it doesn't specify what exactly. Until a few days ago this has never happened.
I tried casting from other devices an Iphone12 and my PC (which normally work just fine) but i get the same thing (first the logo then a screen with "something went wrong"
I've tried disconnecting the chromecast, reinstalling the chromecast- and youtube apps and restarting my router and nothing works.
Other streaming apps work just fine so ..read more

Hi
I have a WIFI solution with a max of 1000GB data usage per Month.
We're only using streaming to watch TV.
We're closing down the Chromecast by the remote control but the data usage continue.
It looks like it's constantly using 953,67 MB per hour
For now we have used 725GB and will reach the limit for April soon.
If I cut off the electricity for the unit manually there isnt any usage..
Any other idea ?
NB If this is a common problem for all its a huge waste og energy and CO2 problem...

Comment réinitialiser la Chromecast alors qu'elle n'apparaît plus sur Home et qu'elle n'a pas de bouton sur elle?
J'ai malheureusement supprimer la Chromecast de Home car je n'arrivais pas à supprimer le réseau ( j'ai changer d'abonnement internet)

JBL live660nc headphone will not pair. My airpods pair fine. The JBL try and connect and always fail. I have factory reset and reset tv as well. JBL are in pairing mode and are recognized my chromecast but fail to connect.   ..read more

When playing content from any app, I see frame stuttering. My tv Is set to the correct refresh rate.
For example, playing a movie source at 24fps with tv also set to 24fps results in stuttering. This is true of all frame rates. 60fps content on a 60hz tv for example, still does not play smoothly.
I am aware of the hack using developer mode to set hw overlay off, which resolves the issue, BUT.. why should I have to set that to get a working piece of hardware? It resets quite a lot and this device should just work out of the box.  ..read more
