I'm trying to figure outdifferent approaches and I kind of run into a wall here. I don't just want to block youtube ads, I want to block all ads within the Chromecast. I'm somewhat tech savvy but not advanced with routing. So far I've side loaded adguard onto the Chromecast and installed it successfully. I have a new CCwGTV 4k version which upgraded to latest SW. everytime I start screen mirroring from my mobile to chromecast to watch local video content on TV, it gets stuck after every few minutes, video freezes while audio plays on chrome cast, all this while it would be playing just fine on mobile. i tried to factory reset chomecast, my mobile, router etc and hasnt helped. i have 600mbps internet connection and easily get 300+Mbps, so that is not a concern as well. Hi, out of the blue, our Chromecast went mute. If I go into settings > system > restart, the sound will come back for a while, but shortly after it'll go mute again and I'll have to restart again. Any ideas? Thanks, Roy ..read more

Hi to all, with the new Chromecast is mandatory during the request of casting from mobile devices insert the Netflix credentials directly to the Chromecast HD by remote control. The all others company like Disney, Prime, HBO, the casting are direct without this feature. In the old Eureka Chromecast everything work. I don't want to go back to the homescreen from ambient mode, I just want to get back to the latest active app. This is the case for the first 30 minutes of ambient mode, after that it will return to the home screen. So, I'm trying to cast plex content to my chromecast using a python script on the server. Using PlexAPI I can connect to the server and navigate my content just fine. Using pychromecast, I can connect python to my chromecast. Using the Plex Media Controller, I can even use .play() to bring the basic plex background up on the chromecast. On Android for phones, there's an accessibility feature for Left/Right Audio balance. I use this feature for hearing loss. On my Chromecast w/ GoogleTV, there is no such accessibility feature, but I'm guessing it may be buried somewhere in a config file or with root?
