I braved the rain this afternoon and went out to try to smack a predator or 2. It didn’t work, the only thing I saw was a small heard of mule deer, with a few nice bucks in it. The rain wasn’t totally miserable and was more like short doses of sprinkles. The area is nice, I was surprised I didn’t even bother a fox, but that’s how it goes. I don't kill them as much as I use to, but I still enjoy calling them in close enough to take pictures. Have a couple of ranchers down here that will call when they "think" coyotes are killing their cattle. But what they are seeing is a dead cow that may have died from anything other than a coyote but the coyote is eating it so he gets the blame.
