Here is a little peek at the beauty of their wedding day in Hawaii! Try not to get mesmerized by Sam's green eyes there at the end ..read more

30 day photo challenge {for kids}
Four Corners Photography Blog

With most of us quarantined at home with kiddos, it can be tough to keep them occupied throughout the day on something other than a screen. However, in my opinion, screens aren’t so bad, they can be used as tools for learning! As a photographer, screens give me the ability to capture and document amazing moments and I am grateful for screens! I am also grateful, during these uncertain times, for ways to keep my 6 year old busy but also learning as we go. That is why I’ve created this 30 day photography challenge for kids age 3+. I have tried to teach my son photography on many occasions and I ..read more

Before I began documenting wedding and baby stories, the business really began with my photographing families. Over the years, I've gotten to work with over 250 different families and to say that I've learned a lot throughout that time is a bit of an understatement. This blog post is for you, the green photographer, dipping your toes in family photography or for you, the experienced photographer, struggling with those unpredictable toddlers during your sessions, but it's especially for you, the worried mom and dad, prepping for your upcoming portrait session with some level of panic setting in ..read more

How to Avoid a Sunflower Mini Session Almost Disaster
Four Corners Photography Blog
by Natalie Jackson

I’m not going to lie, we worked HARD for these images. The sunflower farm this year was absolutely packed, there were more people than sunflowers, and it was hard to fight for space amongst the prettiest blooms that hadn’t been picked over yet. I am not one to sugar coat things, so I am just wanting to be honest with you, my dedicated readers and with future clients. We will not be back next year to this same location for sunflower minis, we have another farm that has graciously allowed us to come next year and they don’t usually allow photographers, so we will be in a more quiet space. But th ..read more

After booking, most clients ask me “how does the session work exactly?” The short answer is that my sessions are very much baby-led and every sessions is different based on baby’s temperament and what time they fall asleep. But you didn’t come here for the short answer, I want to talk you through #allthethings that go into and come out of a newborn session with me! The night before your session might be chaotic… I hate asking clients to do this, as I know you are so busy with your little one, but you should try to tidy your space before I arrive the next day! It makes our session go so much s ..read more

Our Sweet Baby Penny
Four Corners Photography Blog

The Saturday before Penny arrived was a bit chaotic, her birth story definitely begins there. I was trying to make it at least through Saturday because we were having a birthday party for Gabriel that day and he had put so much thought and planning into everything, I wanted to make that happen for him. So Saturday morning we got up early to go see the Grinch (know that we also had our 11 month old nephew that day), so we were testing out having two children and going to Ponce City Market because we are crazy. Well, after waiting two hours and it was our turn, we were told that the Grinch was g ..read more
