In August, I travelled to Vancouver to photograph my cousin’s wedding. The thought of capturing such an important day for a family member was both exciting and nerve-wracking. As a photographer, I am always searching for ways to improve my skills and grow in my craft. This experience was no different. The wedding was an intimate affair, with only immediate family and a close friend in attendance. This made the atmosphere even more special and allowed me to really focus on capturing the love and emotions present throughout the day. The day started off at the hotel with Brianne and her family a ..read more

Recently, I had the opportunity to do a photo session at a beautiful home in Manotick with a family of four. The house was so lovely and it made for the perfect backdrop for this intimate lifestyle family session. The brother and sister were adorable together and we were able to capture some really cute moments. I love doing at-home family sessions because they feel so personal and unique. It’s a great way to capture a family in their natural environment, where they feel comfortable and at ease. The photos from this session really show the love and connection between this young family. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted a blog. There’s always something that gets forgotten, and blogs are not always high on the list of priorities. But today I am sharing my FIRST wedding of the 2023 season and oh man, it’s a beauty. You may remember these two from their downtown engagement session last spring. On Easter weekend, I photographed the most gorgeous spring wedding at Aquatopia. Gorgeous florals, gorgeous people, and the most beautiful venue. The day started out at the Brookstreet hotel with the girls getting ready. The reveal with the bridesmaids was a goodie! Over at the gr ..read more

This was the wedding of dreams. Meredith and Jordan planned the most beautiful wedding at their family’s private estate in Arnprior, just 45mins outside of Ottawa on the Ottawa River. The Grove House Estate has been in the family for years and was the perfect backdrop for this intimate backyard wedding. Meredith’s uncle, who is currently living there, put in so much time and effort into having the grounds look impeccably perfect. Can we please talk about how beautiful this ring is?! Once the bride and groom were ready, they decided to do a first look outside the front of door of the estate ..read more

Oh mannnnn this engagement session in downtown Ottawa really hits me right in the feels. Alex and Ben wanted to have an urban feel to their engagement photos so we met downtown and wandered the streets together on the most perfect evening as the sun was setting. We started in Confederation Park – I adore this fountain. Doesn’t get much more picture perfect than these two. We had such a blast just roaming around looking for cool architecture and beautiful light. We ended the session by popping some champagne and toasting these two on their engagement. This sunset on the Chateau Laurier terra ..read more

If you’ve been following me for a while, you have likely seen this wedding on my Instagram page and thought to yourself, WOAH. What a vibe! Kelsey and Kane had the most perfect wedding day, if I do say so myself. So relaxed, so stress free, even though they were calling for a TON of rain. But let’s talk about this black, sequin wedding dress. I am still so obsessed. The bride and groom got ready together at home the afternoon of their wedding day. Their home was in the midst of a major renovation but having some of these raw elements against their very elegant wardrobe was such a cool contras ..read more

This beautiful September wedding at Le Belvedere was one for the books. Everything came together so perfectly. The groom and his groomsmen got ready at Le Belvedere Guesthouse. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready at Le Belvedere Garden House. This first look with the bridesmaids is everything. It was such a perfect moment. And then the bride’s father seeing his gorgeous daughter for the first time. Talk about a moment. Not going to lie…I teared up a bit too. The weather could not have been more perfect for their outdoor wedding ceremony at Le Belvedere. There is definitely no shortage ..read more

Rachel and Dustin chose to elope on possibly the rainiest of days ever. I was so happy to see that they weren’t scared off by the rain. We grabbed some umbrellas and trekked into the rain around Brewer Park. My favourite thing in the world is when brides aren’t afraid to get a little dirty. Here are some of my faves of Rachel and Dustin!a Dirty wedding dresses may give some people anxiety, but not Rachel. These smiles in the pouring rain are my favourite. Congratulations to these two on embracing the elements and enjoying the moment xoxo The post Rainy day wedding photos in Ottawa: Rachel ..read more

Family farm wedding in Brockville Ontario: Emily and John

Emily and John pulled together this family farm wedding in Brockville VERY quickly. In less than 6 weeks kind of quickly. Proof that you don’t need to plan years in advance for what will end up being the most perfect day. The weather was looking great up until the last 30mins of my drive to Brockville when it started POURING rain. Like, people pulled over on the highway kinda rain. It looked as though it had cleared up once I finally got to Brockville but as I pulled in, the rain and the winds started up again and it was bad. Tables flipped over, vases, glasses and cutlery blown off the tables ..read more

I’ve been excited to photograph this wedding ever since their engagement session (which feels like a million years ago). Let me tell ya…these two tried, and tried, and tried again to make this wedding happen but Covid had other plans. Until finally they said screw it, we’re doing it. Jen and Phil’s outdoor summer wedding at Strathmere Lodge was a perfect one. Covid or not, they made the best of it and pulled together the most beautiful ceremony. The bride and groom decided to do a first look upon arriving at Strathmere and then photos with their wedding party, before the rest of their guests a ..read more
