TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. — A woman from Kearney, Missouri has been arrested and charged after stabbing a man outside a house near Houston, Missouri. Heather M. Shelton, 35, has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence. FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. - Authorities arrested a mother and her boyfriend earlier this week in connection with a child's death in southern Missouri. Rylee Fararro and Hayden Rosener face felony charges for abuse or neglect of a child (resulting in death) and endangering the welfare of a child. Rosener also faces a drug possession charge in the investigation. The Fredericktown Police Department reports that officers found a child unresponsive Wednesday at a home, shortly before the child was pronounced deceased at a hospital. On March 27, 1964, the strongest earthquake to hit the United States violently shook southern coast of Alaska. The powerful earthquake shook for four minutes, but it was the aftermath that did the most damage when tsunamis were triggered. Of the 139 deaths associated with the day, 124 of them were caused by tsunamis. The earthquake's epicenter was Prince William Sound and measured as a 9.2 on the Richter scale. Forsyth home destroyed in fire

FORSYTH, Mo. — A home in Forsyth has been destroyed by a fire. According to the Forsyth Fire Department (FFD), the fire broke out around 3:01 a.m. on March 27 on Santa Fe Drive. The department said crews were on the scene in less than 10 minutes, but the fire had already spread through the two-story home's attic and roof. Crews remained on scene for several hours as the fire was brought under control. It's another cold morning near freezing but we'll quickly warm through the day. South winds and sunny skies will help push temperatures into the mid-60s this afternoon. We'll avoid a freeze tonight with temperatures getting down to the mid-40s overnight tonight. Temperatures will jump to the mid-70s Friday as south winds crank up.
