CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has announced Sigue Corp. will cease to provide money transmission services in Illinois, as the company can no longer responsibly serve customers due to its declining financial position. SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) has announced that the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.8 percent, while nonfarm payrolls increased +12,700 in March, based on preliminary data provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and released by IDES. The February revised unemployment rate was 4.8 percent, unchanged from the preliminary February unemployment rate. WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that it will make available $12,746,450 to public housing authorities (PHAs) on a competitive basis through HUD’s Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Initiative to provide housing assistance to young adults transitioning out of foster care. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – After several years of successful antlered-elk hunting seasons for Missouri residents, the Missouri Department to Conservation (MDC) is considering adding a limited antlerless-elk hunting season for residents and wants public input.
MDC reintroduced wild elk in portions of Carter, Reynolds, and Shannon counties in the Missouri Ozarks about a decade ago. According to MDC Elk and Deer Biologist Aaron Hildreth, those elk numbers continue to grow and may soon be able to allow the harvest of a small number of antlerless elk.
