This request is at or past the two week point. If confirmation of the SASE being sent isn't made within the next couple of days, the request could be canceled and the seeds returned to inventory. Your first request expired and canceled due to you not sending a SASE, now this one appears to be heading down that same path. Is there something you're not understanding about the process? Tropical Pitcher Plants • Re: What to feed my nepenthes?

Although nematodes are capable of acquiring insects on their own, if they are not naturally capturing enough prey, you can periodically supplement their diet in a culture setting. You may accomplish this by putting tiny, live insects into the pitchers, such as fruit flies, crickets, or ants. Keep in mind that feeding them insects that are too big might harm or even ruin the pitcher. Statistics: Posted by Rodney Gallegos — Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:29 am ..read more

I also learned that too much direct sunlight caused red spots, so they're indoor plants for now. I do take them in the bathroom when I shower and leave them in there for about an hour afterwards. The humidity gets up to about 80% when the shower is on. They're growing in 100% LFSM but will probably ..read more

What do you mean by salvaging the crowns? So much to learn. I caught the rot before it spread too far. I unpotted the plants, cut off the infected parts of the rhizome, and repotted the good parts. This often means that I end up with two or more rhizomes from the pot, each with at least 1 crown. This is a good article on the topic: The Pitcher Plantation, Australia Sarracenia rhizome rot (and fertiliser burn) – how to recognise and treat it https://thepitcherplantationaustralia.b ... gnise.html The "fertilizer burn" part is why I don't put fertilizer in my adult Sarracenia pots.
