You might not have heard of Tunbridge Wells but it’s home to some better known punk acts like SOFT PLAY and LADYBIRD, two acts that the over-excited ANIMAL SHITHOUSE found a fountain of inspiration in. It could be satire or an attempt to be overly shocking but it’s clear that ANIMAL SHITHOUSE aim to leave an impression even if it isn’t the best one.
Their debut EP Who Taught You To Hate? jumps between amp-blowing levels of noise — or just poorly utilised saturation — that refuses to let up for the most part and spoken word tracks that will raise your skin with a cringe. Downing A Red Stripe An ..read more

FRIDA KILL are a small band from Brooklyn, made up of four members with a big attitude and purpose. Jumping from swelling intensity to joyous riff-filled tracks, their debut album Kill! Kill! has two distinct modes, and that flexibility keeps the record exciting and especially invigorating when it comes to tracks like Last Ditch Effort that are drenched with a sense of unity and the mode of dissonance, breaking into the edges of unfiltered messiness. The quartet channel the tongue in cheek influences of riot grrrl at times which meld with their sure sense of identity to make exciting grooves t ..read more

Let German noise rockers ZAHN transport you to a place underneath the stars that stare back at you, that’s what the trio plan on doing in their second album Adria. The title is an important and grounding word that brings the record full circle right when needed; conceptualised around summer holidays of the 80s, Adria looks to encapsulate those surreal memories in a post-modern noise rock bundle to make you feel an uncomfortable nostalgia for humidity in a campervan.
Opening track Zebra is a little something to ease you in compared to what’s to come, acquainting you with a taste of the fa ..read more
