So I successfully used the offset tool to cut out 4” pathway from a line grid - offsetting each shape by 2” and erasing the original line work at the center. These will become the top/bottom flanges of an I-beam grid. I am running into an issue when I try to cut a 1/4” pathway from the same line grid - offsetting each shape by 1/8”. This will become the webbing for the I beams. The issue is the new 1/8” offset pathway is not consistently creating a separate shape within the surface and so I can not erase the original line grid and be left with a 1/4” pathway. I tried accessing my Sketchup Pro 2024 but it says I exceeded allowed activations. I looked up the problem and it said to go through manage devices -> confirm de-authorization. That should have apparently solved my issue but after doing it multiple times and quitting my app it still shows the same thing. I use this app on my Desktop Mac and Macbook and have multiple year versions so it probably wants me to delete past in order to keep using but I can’t even delete the other apps or they won’t let me access.
