Graphics, Figures & Tables • I need help

Hello, I need some help getting started with a tree diagram. It should have a "Split" and a "Flat", both objects identical, and should be depicted like a capital Y, i.e., a vertical base, then two branches going off at roughly ninety degrees from each other. These will then be placed onto one another to form a tree, a base onto the ends of the branches -- or a final Flat terminated with piece of "Fruit" on the left branch and a "Bud" on the right. This is from The Little MLer BTW. Statistics: Posted by ThexdmasQuat — Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:30 am ..read more

Hi Stefan, This is crazy! I've done a lot of test: withot spaces, with 1, with 2, ..etc. But thi stiem it has worked! Perhaps, as your proposal suggest, it is important to verify carefully the names and spaces in the 3 places: * the computer files * the list of figures in overleaf * the configuration in Latex. Anyway, now I have all th figures antil now fixed (some I've changed from jpeg to png). Happy for your assistance. Best regards, Statistics: Posted by Jongomez — Fri Apr 26, 2024 3:58 pm ..read more

Hi, I've tried your approach, but withput success. Anyway, don't understand why it works in the other cases (almost all). I' ll try to capture the image in another way, to see if the problem comes from de source. Thanks a lot Stefan, will continue in contact. Hi, depending on the LaTeX version and the operating system, it can be a problem if file names or paths contain white spaces (blanks) or special characters, such as the accented characters. I suggest you try without spaces in the name and with ASCII characters (no accents) if it works. Stefan Statistics: Posted by Stefan Kottwitz — Fri Apr 26, 2024 1:57 pm ..read more

For a paper, I would like to use a diagram like this: I can set about creating this from scratch, but I am very open to more experienced voices on where to start or if anyone thinks this isn't so hard and wants to take a stab. For information, here is a way to create that table with {NiceTabular} of nicematrix. In this environment, the vertical rules are drawn even if the row is incomplete. \documentclass[a4paper,14pt,oneside]{article} \usepackage{nicematrix} \begin{document} \begin{table}[h] \centering \begin{NiceTabular}{ |p{4cm}*3{||p[l]{3cm}}|} \Hline \Block{1-4}{Idesi} \\ \Hline Kriterier \textrightarrow \\ Ideer $\downarrow$ & ISO ALPHA 2 Code &ISO ALPHA 3 Code&ISO numeric Code\\ \Hline Afghanistan & AF &AFG& 004\\ Aland Islands& AX & ALA &248\\ Albania &AL & ALB ..read more

Graphics, Figures & Tables • Choosing between table packages

I suggest my package nicematrix, which, despite its name, is able to deal with tabulars. It loads the package array and can be used in conjunction with the package booktabs. The main advantage of nicematrix is that it creates PGF/TikZ nodes under the cells, rows and columns. Several functionalities provided by nicematrix use these nodes but the final user may also use them. Hence, it's always possible to draw whatever graphical element you want. The main disadvantage of nicematrix is that its tabulars can never be broken by an end of page... Statistics: Posted by FPantigny — Wed Apr 24, 2024 ..read more

Hi. If I use LuaLaTeX lualatex -synctex=1 "main.tex" to compile following document \documentclass{article} \usepackage{tikz} \usetikzlibrary{fadings} \begin{document} text \end{document} and then try to use go to the source of "text" from the resulting PDF, SyncTeX will bring me to `<texlive>\2024\texmf-dist\tex\generic\pgf\libraries\pgflibraryfadings.code.tex`. If I compile the TeX file with XeLaTeX or pdfLaTeX, SyncTeX works fine. I'm using the latest TeX Live.
