I'm currently having issues with my battery light on my 2005 scion xbs. I have cleaned the ground wires and where they connect. I have replaced the alternator and the battery. And had both new ones tested. And they came back good. I have checked the charging system fuse. Located under the driver side dash. And it was still good. Today I went to an auto skills center on Army base and planned to replace rear struts, front linkages (needed a bit of grinding to remove old), flush the radiator, flush the brakes, change the plugs, air filter, and cabin filter. That ended up being more than I could handle. Didn't get to the plugs, filters, or brakes. Did the rear struts - fairly easy. The front linkages were an absolute pain due to corrosion and small clearances. Angle grinder had to be used but in the end with those suspension repairs it is driving great. Hey y’all so my car has air coming out of the oil fill cap…. I changed the PCV valve but no better…. My t is idling at like 500 rpm or less it has no power…. It sounds like it is going to stall out…. Alright folks, So prior to replacing te rear drums and shoes I had an out of round feeling. When I lifted it up (with a jack) you can feel/hear the shoes dragging when I would spin the wheel, but not evenly. It would drag then release, drag then release, showing an out of round condition. I was just one spot and it was on both left and right sides. Off came the old stuff and on went the new stuff (shoes and drums). I have a 2007 TC and I've been leaking oil for months/years but recently saw a fairly big spot under where the alternator sits. Looks like a seem so was wondering if the motor is a split block..
