The long-awaited Chick-fil-A restaurant in Roseville is finally taking shape in the front parking lot of Macomb Mall. Macomb County officials who bucked a regional trend by objecting to proposed water-affordability legislation now have the Michigan Municipal League on their side. The MML board voted earlier this month to take a position against a bill package spearheaded by state Sen. Sterling Heights city officials are gearing up for a change in their residential refuse cart and curbside recycling program that is scheduled to begin in April. The city is transitioning to a unified cart system and universal curbside recycling after the City Council approved switching waste haulers from GFL Environmental to Clinton Township-based Priority Waste. Macomb Township firefighters are now equipped with new tools for protecting and preserving their mental health, thanks to a program developed by Fire Sgt. James Peterson.
