According to SF Eater, Alex Hong — the chef behind Michelin-starred eatery Sorrel — is debuting a new concept at the Ferry Building.
Taking over the former Slanted Door space at Ferry Building, #3, the restaurant and bakery will land near concepts such as Cholita Linda, Hog Island Oyster Co., and Mariposa Baking Company.

According to SF Eater, the Financial District’s “iconic” queer bar Ginger’s, which shuttered during the pandemic, has reopened for special events as of June 28 — and plans to operate with regular hours soon.
Located at 86 Hardie Place, the business is neighbor to eateries such as Green Olive, Julie’s Kitchen, and Sam’s Grill & Seafood.

According to the San Francisco Business Times, SoMa sports bar BuzzWorks plans on expanding.
“In a recent public planning application, the bar owner at 365 11th St. proposes connecting BuzzWorks with a neighboring building to create a four-story structure that would include a music venue, bar, and double-decker rooftop lounge,” the Journal reports.
