Lent will commence on Wendesday 2nd of March this year. A couple of years ago I discovered a beautiful new book for the season of Advent by the author Chris Tiegreen. I was very pleased to discover that he had written a companion devotional for Lent.

In a weeks time it will be Rememberance Day or sometimes locally known as Poppy Day in Australia and New Zealand. Rememberance Day is observed on 11 November at 11 am through a minute of silence. This tradition was inaugurated by King George V in 1919.
Remembrance Day is observed to recall the end of First World War hostilities. I have been craving cheesecake! I love the Trim Healthy Mama cheesecake recipe in their original book however I wanted something that used less cream cheese. Long story short is that I have been experimenting and combining a few recipes together (Cottage Cheesecake, Basic Cheesecake THM book page 373) to come up with this recipe.

When we started homeschooling I assumed I would teach my children to write cursive when they turned nine years old because that's when I learned it at school.
