Having got my Stream box up and running yesterday (see Question - Virgin media stream box ethernet connection) I have a couple of questions that the VM FAQs and Help don't answer. Could someone who has a Stream answer them or help with the following please? 1) Is it possible to set up a list of favourite channels? If so, how, please? I'm already getting a bit bored with having to wade through the EPG where a lot of channels are greyed-out because I don't have an active subscription... Read more ..read more

Hi Apologies if this has been asked before. I am considering the Mega VOLT bundle at £84.99 which includes an O2 sim (£24.99). Does anyone know whether this can be cancelled immediately? I believe people have done this in the past but unsure whether its possible now. Any help is appreciated. Steve ..read more

I just got a new LG C3 and when connected to the virgin box, it seems to cut out every now and then for a couple of seconds. For example, watching football, the quality and video would be fine but then it would randomly cut out and go back to normal. This keeps on happening. When I connect an older tv to the virgin box it works fine (using the same hdmi) When I connect my ps5 to the LG tv (using the same cable) it works fine. Any ideas please? I’ve tried to play around with video... Read more ..read more

Virgin media stream box ethernet connection

I’m looking to add a VM Streambox to my setup and want to connect it via Ethernet. The VM YT video that I watched says to plug one end of an ethernet cable into the ethernet socket on the Streambox PSU and the other end into the VM router. My VM router is in a totally different room, so it’s not possible to connect as VM say in the YT video. I use powerline adapters to give me an ethernet connection to the hub in the room where I want the Streambox to live, and the destination powerline... Read more ..read more

Hi I have searched many forums and no answer. Does anyone know the code to control a Hisense TV with a Virgin V6 remote? I have tried the codes on the list given by Virgin but no luck (like all the people asking the same question). Also tried the method of CLR+TV then 0999 and channel up until TV turns off, which it does after about 300 presses, but then I turn it back on and still no control. In my case it is a Hisense H55U7A but it seems to affect all. Thanks ..read more

I am currently moving into a new property in August. They currently have virgin media broadband hub installed in the Cellar. In the Cellar they then have hardwire ethernet ports to each room room into the house. They have CCTV running into the main living room plus another room from the Cellar as well. I am looking at what options I have potentially to have the V6 box installed next to the hub and be watchable in the living room, as currently there is no virgin wires installed in the... Does anyone else find that there are some programmes that will not delete on a V6 box. It's very random and I can't identify a specific channel. My saved box is rarely more than about 20% full. I'm reluctant to reset the whole thing because I would lose stuff I want to keep ..read more

I was moved off of my old Maxit TV deal by Virgin and on to the Mega TV option which I was told was the same as Maxit but without the TNT Sports channels. Having looked at ITV X I see I can no longer skip the adverts like I could previously, have they removed this capability with Mega TV ..read more

So Sky are launching a new sports channel “for no extra cost” Sky Sports Plus will be the new home of EFL games and streaming and will apparently be included as part of the Sky Sports packages but does anyone know if this will be available via Virgin Media either through V6 or 360 boxes? I currently subscribe to Sky Sports via VM and can access the “red button” games so am hoping the same will be true of SS+ but I can’t seem to get a definitive answer anywhere ..read more
