WASHINGTON — FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA). The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. Both tests are scheduled to begin at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Palm Bay City Council has an abundance of applications to fill the vacant seat left by Peter Filiberto. The seat was declared vacant on February 17th of this year, and Councilman Johnson predicted a high rate of application with an estimate of possibly 15-20 applicants.
