During the recruitment of Peyton Woodyard, Ohio State football was always seen as a potential landing spot for him. Ultimately the California safety signed with Alabama, but like many others before him, has decided to move on from the Crimson Tide following the retirement of Nick Saban. The Buckeyes have already benefited from the change, as they added safety Caleb Downs, quarterback Julian Sayin and center Seth McLaughlin. Could another be on the way? The Dallas Cowboys made former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott the No. 4 pick of the 2016 NFL draft, and at the time, it looked like a fantastic selection. An All-Pro performance his rookie year while leading the NFL in rushing, Elliott dominated from the get-go. He’d go on to make the Pro Bowl in 2016, 2018 and 2019, while again leading the league in rushing during the ‘18 season. Elliott would pass 1,000 yards just one more time after his fantastic 2019 campaign, and Dallas would cut ties in 2022. He’d go on to sign with New England this past season, but it didn’t work out for him an ..read more
