Bob Marley’s classic “Three Little Birds” has joined Spotify’s Billions Club. This is Marley’s first track to reach the landmark.
“Three Little Birds,” is a study of beautiful, simple optimism. The song comes from Marley’s Exodus, which is one of the most influential records of all time. The film One Love won Best Movie at the 2024 BET Awards. Made by Tuff Gong and Paramount Pictures, the picture follows reggae star Bob Marley in and out of the spotlight. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the movie stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley, Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley, and James Norton as Chris Blackwell, who founded Island Records.
The movie was a smash success at the box office, and currently stands as the fifth highest grossing music biopic in the US. First released in theaters on February 14, 2024, the film is now available on streaming, DVD, and Blu-Ray.

By the time Junior Murvin released his debut album, Police & Thieves, the lead single had already become the sound of political unrest. Island/UMe have shared a new video for Bob Marley’s “Punky Reggae Party,” a track originally released as the B-side of “Jamming” in 1977. The song is available in its extra-rare 12-inch dub version on the 2024 limited edition of Bob Marley’s Exodus.

The video was directed by Cameroonian graphic artist Maxime Manga, whose main medium is digital collage. The clip seamlessly combines animation with classic photos of Marley and footage from a Boston concert in 1978 to bring the song to life.

The smash hit 2024 Bob Marley biopic, Bob Marley: One Love, is set to return to theaters during the week of 4/20 (April 20) to celebrate the popular marijuana-based holiday.
