Alien Airforce is the first ever solo venture from Crispin Gray (Daisy Chainsaw / Queenadreena / Starsha Lee) and his debut album, Give Pigeons The Right Of Way, is now available via Easy Action Records. What is all this talk of pigeons you may ask? Most people view them as dirty, pesky birds, but not Crispin. Gray does like pigeons and does indeed try to give them the right of way (he doesn’t like to see people stamp at them). The album is entirely recorded and performed by Gray, although five of the fourteen songs are co-written with his wife, Sofia Martins Gray (Starsha Lee). One track ..read more

All Ears Avow have released their impactful new track, Bird On A Wire, that was produced by the band’s own vocalist and guitarist Claire Sutton, the single is accompanied by a video that was also self produced by the band. “Bird On A Wire is a song that practically wrote itself in the space of a short afternoon. I found myself in a headspace of just feeling rather sick of what the human race – our species that’s meant to be so intelligent – was capable of. Maybe I’d gotten particularly caught up watching the news that morning. It was everything from the absolute atrocities going on acros ..read more

Two top gigs in a week and this is the one that somehow holds the spot in my head as “this could quite well be something very special”, Saturday the 4th of May it is, a day that holds plenty of occasion for many Star Wars fans, so heading out to this illustrious venue in Stockton-On-Tees it felt like a force was pulling me in, “music that will entertain you it is” I hear. Having checked the time and being still on the bus at 7.12, the 1st band due on at 7.15, things were getting a bit real here. A brisk walk along a strangely quite High St led me through the narrow alley way past the bac ..read more
