We have a 2015 Duramax 6.6. We are currently down in Mexico which is really adding to our problems. It first gave us this message after purchasing our second full tank of gas down here in Mexico. Along with that the truck started using up mass quantities of DEF fluid. The first thing we tried is replacing the injector. I was having fuel delivery issues and an intermittent stumble in my LLY. I also had no fuel gauge. I decided to go with a Fass lift pump. Also got the fuel sending unit replaced and have a fuel gauge. My truck runs so much better. Extremely smooth. Fuel rail pressure is very much improved and steady. Throttle response is also improved. Hello everybody I am a newbie to the duramax and this seems to be the forum everybody is using. I just bought a bone stock 06 duramax after some research i am pretty sure its an LLY.I just sold my 01 cummins with edge,intake and exhaust which produced 19mpg city and well over 20 highway and a very thin cloud of black smoke only when you get on it. 2005 lly Silverado 226,xxx miles deleted no lift pump. I’ve been battling multiple issues. So I just got this truck about a month ago for a pretty good deal. Reason I ask is I got my iDASH yesterday, installed it, and noticed transmission parameters and various other items were missing. Went to Banks website and downloaded the 1_24_11 firmware, unzipped and copied the 16 files to the root on the SD card that came with the iDASH (got the data monster flavor so used the 16GB it came with).
