Christian Julian Pope didn’t even get to celebrate his 21st birthday in May, and he was already accused of killing someone and trying to kill two others in Broward County. Hollywood police officers arrested Pope, 20, on Tuesday and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were holding him at the main jail on Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale. Court records show Pope was born in Miami. He was 18 years old and living in Hollywood when he was arrested for theft, battery, and marijuana possession. Italy’s Culture Ministry has banned loans of works to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, following a dispute with the U.S. museum over an ancient marble statue believed to have been looted from Italy almost a half-century ago. Ukraine for the first time has begun using long-range ballistic missiles provided secretly by the United States, bombing a Russian military airfield in Crimea last week and Russian forces in another occupied area overnight, American officials said Wednesday.
