Towards the end of the year the South Island of New Zealand comes alive with some stunningly beautiful flowers called lupins. They are technically classified as a weed but they are so pretty that tourists from all over the world come to see them. They bloom in gigantic groups all around the lakes and spread all the way to down to and beyond Queenstown. This is my adventure of chasing lupins in New Zealand… My dream… I first saw a photo of the lupins surrounding Lake Tekapo 10 years ago. Being a landscape photographer I made a mental note that I would see this breath taking sight with my own ey ..read more

I was recently invited to stay at the Sunshine Coast for a few days thanks to Visit Sunshine Coast as part of The Curated Plate Food Festival that is being held from 5-18th August 2019. I have always loved this part of Australia and visit here regularly usually heading straight to Noosa for the day. This time I stayed in Coolum and experienced some amazing local food and awesome activities that I have never experienced before. There is a really vibrant food scene here on the Sunshine Coast. It was lovely to spend some time in the quieter beach town of Coolum and explore the hinterland of the S ..read more

I know I only just wrote about Fraser Island in my last blog back in January but I had the opportunity to visit there again in March thanks to Kingfisher Bay Resort. They invited myself and fellow photographer Stephen Waller to spend a weekend away at Kingfisher Bay Resort. This time we got to experience the other side of staying on Fraser Island. Instead of roughing it by camping we both got a deluxe room at the resort. We had the chance to experience meals from all the different restaurants along with sight-seeing new areas that we previously hadn’t seen before. It was a fun filled weekend a ..read more

Well hello there! Long time no speak! Well, what a year 2018 was. I think it had to have been one of the hardest years of my life, hence the radio silence on my blog.  I have finally got two seconds to sit down and write about my year in review. To begin with, if you are not signed up to my newsletter then you would have no idea what has been going on. Back at the beginning of 2018 my marriage ended. I actually find this really difficult to talk about. As much as I am an open book most of the time, I don’t like to talk about my personal life in such a public place. But I also use my websi ..read more
