We want to take care of any need our golfers have, and perform above and beyond their expectations. On top of that, we need our rangefinders to perform at a level where any golfer could pick it up and go. Of course, there have been bumps in the road ..read more

THE HISTORY OF RANGEFINDERS AND HOW THEY WORK

Before I got my Series 2 Pro Slope, I was without a rangefinder for a few months. I didn’t think it was going to be that big of a deal, but then I tee’d off. The second I got to my ball in the first fairway, I reached in my bag for the nonexistent laser. When I realized I had to do it the old fashion way, I instantly became less confident. Walking off the distance from a marker, trying to calculate slope, are just steps that I don’t want to do. Even after that, these steps only give you the number to the middle of the green. So what if the pins in the back? The front? What it means, is ..read more

It’s tough to argue that rangefinders aren’t essential while playing golf - unless you get a looper (even though they use them too). With this information, you can now plan what you want to do with your approach, and make sure you miss in the right spot. But outside of these benefits, do they do anything? Are they really worth the hundreds of dollars to put in the bag?   Absolutely. And with Blue Tees, you’ll be spending half of what you would pay with one of the big brands - an ..read more

DO I REALLY NEED A RANGE FINDER

Remember when all that was out there was a white stake? A white stake and you had to kind of guess if it was the Out of Bounds Marker or the 150 marker?  Then there was the phase of those large plastic dome-like things buried at the 150 and the 100-yard range.  Then most courses just decided that the sprinkler heads were the way to go.  There are plenty of them out there (except they are never all marked) and you can get lots more information than that old white stake. Some high-tech places decided to go for the GPS in the carts, the one that reminds you about the 2 for 1 hot d ..read more

You finally signed yourself up for that club championship. It’s exciting and frightening all at the same time. Knowing when your game is tournament ready can be very difficult. You never know until you try if your game will thrive or fold under pressure.  Tournament golf and leisure golf are two completely different things.  Some of the best players out there can’t play unless there is something “on it”. It has to matter in some way, it’s a natural competitive drive that some will discover through the game of golf.  A true competitor or not it’s always ..read more

One of the most intimidating factors about being a new golfer is all that there is to learn. There are rules, and swing techniques, and etiquette. The equipment seems foreign and there are hundreds of options to choose from. The scoring can be tricky and the Handicap system is way more complicated than you can even imagine. It’s enough to make even the most dedicated new golfer decide boating may be a better choice.  The good news is that you don’t need to learn it all right away, you don’t even need to learn it all in the first year. The really great golfers have probably spent th ..read more

A few years ago, there were local club makers that could adjust your clubs for you. Although they still exist most people don’t want to wait, they get them ordered to fit right off the bat. The idea of getting a custom fitting is being sold to all kinds of golfers.  But, is it really necessary for everyone?
