Hi. I am 44 years old and I think I am perimenopausal. Usually my periods are pretty regular, I get them once every 28 days or so, give or take a few days but the most recent period took 45 days. I also noticed that I used to get cramps on the first day of the period and a few hours prior to that, but now my periods are painless. Also, I usually get the heaviest flow on the 2nd and 3rd day, but now it's been like 5 days now and it doesn't seem to be stopping. Anyway I am just wondering... Read more ..read more

Hi I am new to this forum and I am about to dump a whole load of "stuff" I am a few years into perimenopause and I have been prescribed sertraline for anxiety, which is OK But I think I have been prescribed this because when I went to see my GP I was worn out by living with a husband who had been ill with his own mental health problem, kept it secret for 15 years then when he reached a crisis, expected me to look after him and our children. I had spent many hours sitting in car parks... Read more ..read more

Hi. I am just after advice from any people that have experiences with this I am in a relationship, or was until Sunday. We have had a few break ups in the past and none seemed to be rational It was only yesterday when I went through my messages with her, and realised they all seemed to be in the days before her period is due On one occasion I had forgot to send her a goodnight message. She used to overreact if I forgot, and realised she over thinks a lot so learnt to never forget, but did... Read more ..read more

Hi I’m just wondering if any post menopausal ladies out there ever get the feeling like you are about to have a period? You know that achy dragging feeling down below! I’m nearly 57 and had my last period when I was 50. Quick background - I have severe health anxiety and general anxiety and I’m currently really struggling. I have had IBS/diahorrea etc and got in a pickle and the dr has sent my stool sample off. So I have convinced myself I have bowel cancer. When I get in a state I hide... Read more ..read more

Hello all! I am new here. First I just want to say I will be following up with my Dr. tomorrow but I am looking for perspective today. May 30th I had a polyp removed from my cervix. Was a standard procedure hurt like a MFer and I saw stars! I was not told anything to be honest. What to expect. Pain etc or after care. I was due for my cycle the day the procedure took place and I likely got it because the bleeding was cycle type bleeding. No one told me not to lift heavy etc. so the... Read more ..read more

Well what with exams and my son dating , my anxiety levels have gone up and yep the hot flushes are back with a vengence. Anyone else find that stress even a little, can cause the flushes? I am hoping they will wave me good by with the rain clouds of spring and all my hot and bothered bit will be caused by the summer heat. Suffering hot flushes in hot temps is no fun and if only the spare tyre would have deflated alittle , I could cope wearing summer clothes. I dread the days of wearing... Read more ..read more
