Stop me if you've heard this before, but there is pure and utter chaos going on around college football and there hasn't been a game played in a couple of months. Each of the past couple of offseasons has been flooded with programs around the country switching conferences and more of that may be on the horizon. The Stanford Cardinal are on a mission to rebuild in the trenches, and they appear to be making progress in the recruitment of one of the best linemen in the 2025 class. The losses for the Stanford Cardinal just keep on flooding in when it comes to players leaving for the transfer portal. They already lost their two top-55 freshmen who each made impacts right away on a veteran team, and on Tuesday evening they ended up losing their leading scorer Maxime Raynaud to the portal. On Tuesday, the ball on another wave of conference realignment budged a bit when it was revealed that Clemson has filed a lawsuit against the ACC. The goal for Clemson is to essentially leave the ACC and join the Big Ten or SEC, while also avoiding the hefty exit fee that they would be required to pay. Another day, another play from the Stanford basketball team that has entered the transfer portal. Joining the duo of star freshmen Kanaan Carlyle and Andrej Stojakovic, senior forward and former four-star recruit Max Murrell has entered his name into the transfer portal according to Rivals. After what was a whirlwind of a conference realignment cycle last offseason, we are now heading in a similar direction this offseason. While it may not happen right away, programs are beginning to lay the groundwork for their exits. Stanford is now in the early stages of a coaching search following their decision to fire Jerod Haase, and they are looking nationally for their new head coach.  The job is certainly an intriguing one as Haase had no issues recruiting high-level talent to the program, landing three five-stars in his eight seasons.
