The Giants began the player off-season program Monday. While this phase of the program is voluntary, the number of players attending seems robust. For 27 players, the motivation to attend is an incentive payment built into their contracts.   Photo: New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll met with the players to kick things off and laid the framework for coming together as a team.  “Be a Pro” in all things you do as a player to prepare for the season.  Attack the next two weeks of conditioning with an enthusiasm to get better every day.   Giants.com published ..read more

In summary, a forward was alluded to have a significant leg injury ahead of Saturday. Then, against the Fire, a midfielder looked to have a serious ankle injury. Finally, on Sunday, a young forward capped off a historic performance with a non-contact injury. New York Sports Nation

While the 2024 Major League Soccer season is still young, the New York Red Bulls sit atop the table. That comes after four wins and two draws through seven games, including last weekend’s win over defending Supporter’s Shield champs FC Cincinnati. While a lot of talk has been on new signing Emil Forsberg, both good and bad, and the returning Lewis Morgan, it has been a team effort. And one consistent member of that team is forward Dante Vanzeir. In the five games he’s played, all being starts, Vanzeir has looked great playing as either the main striker or a supporting hitter. In fact, at the t ..read more

New York Sports Nation
by Brian O’Donnell

We’re two weeks from the 2024 NFL Draft. Rumors are flying through every media outlet as to what the Giants will do with the No. 6 pick and later rounds. Quarterback? Wide Receiver? Cornerback? Offensive Lineman? There are so many needs on this team. The Giants’ offseason moves give some indication of a narrowed focus on draft picks. They are in a win-win position to help the team for the long haul. The Giants have focused much of this offseason on signing five offensive linemen, two blocking tight ends, a solid running back, a top edge rusher after a trade, an experienced defensive back, a re ..read more

Over the next few weeks I will be going over the best prospects for the Giants to draft their specific position. In this Blog I will go over the best quarterbacks from this draft.  1. Caleb Williams- USC This one is a no brainer. Caleb Williams has been one of the best prospects the NFL has seen in some time. Although he never made it to the playoffs in the countless number of regular season games we saw of Caleb he was always the most talented player on the field. Over his three years in college he had 10,0082 yards, 93 TDs, and 14 interceptions. These stats that he had are indicative of ..read more

The Giants Future at QB in Daniel Jones Eyes
New York Sports Nation
by James Farrell

I think by now it’s clear that despite what they say publicly, the Giants are very much considering taking a QB later this month in the draft. This comes just 1 year after the Giants signed Jones to a 4 year 160 million dollar contract after Jones led to them to the playoffs. Last year, did not go to plan.  Jones played poorly before injuring his neck and then tearing his ACL.  While, as fans, we certainly have our opinions on the Giants QB’s future, Jones likely has his own as well.  It is an interesting exercise to think about what Daniel Jones is feeling/thinking about the Gi ..read more

For this year’s NFL Draft there are a lot of changes coming to the league as far as what teams have a star quarterback and what teams have a star wide receiver. The Giants currently have the 6th pick and this leaves them with a lot of options for what to do with that pick. Sadly, for the Giants they don’t control their own destiny with the selection. In this blog, I am going to go over the different situations that could happen in the draft and who the Giants should take in that situation. New York Sports Nation
by Brian O’Donnell

Giants President and Owner John Mara is on the NFL’s Competition Committee. At the Owners Meetings this week, the NFL owners voted for some significant changes to the game. Hybrid kickoffs and hip-drop tackles are outlawed, and the trade deadline gets moved back a week. Let’s take a look. Hybrid Kickoffs I don’t know about you, but I found kickoffs to be a boring waste of a play since kickers have gotten so good at kicking the ball out of the endzone. Well, the NFL is trying to make it exciting again. As John Mara stated in interviews at the meetings, “We don’t want ceremonial plays in the gam ..read more
