Melbourne Newborn Photography with Baby Jackson in his Yarra Valley home. Combine in-home and outside photography during your newborn session. Not all in-home newborn photos need to be taken inside. Why not include some photos out in your garden or in a local park? Because they are outdoor people, that is exactly what baby Jackson's parents wanted to do. So we quickly drove down to their favourite reserve at the end of their session and captured them all in nature together. The most important thing about your newborn photography session is that it feels like you. If you have pets, let's includ ..read more

Baby Matilda – Bayside Newborn Photographer
Foxbelle Photography Blog
by Ingrid

This is beautiful baby Matilda during her very first photoshoot at her home in Bayside, Melbourne. Matilda was 8 weeks old at the time her newborn photos were taken and weighed only 3kg. After a difficult pregnancy, Matilda arrived early into this world and wasted no time in stealing the hearts of all those around her, including her proud Grandfather and sister-hound, Ellie. Ellie made it very clear that she wanted to be a part of as many photos as we would allow and Matilda slept through almost everything. She did wake during the last half an hour to reward us with her beautiful, soulful (and ..read more

Baby Makayla – Yarra Valley Newborn Photography

This is beautiful baby Makayla during her Yarra Valley Newborn Photography session in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Makayla was six weeks old at her session and had so many gorgeous expressions to share with us. Even though the recommended age for newborn photography is between 1-2 weeks, I love to photograph babies of all ages and consider the newborn stage to be anything up to 3 months.  Younger babies are generally more curled up and sleepy which makes for those lovely squishy, newborn photos. But older babies have started to make eye contact, smile and respond to sound. Each ..read more

Williamstown Family Photography – A Hobson Bay Photoshoot

This was such a fun extended family photoshoot with the Oakman Family in Williamstown, Hobson Bay. I have been so fortunate to have photographed most of these individual families before, some a few times too. So it was extra special to be invited to document them all hanging out together with their beautiful Nanna and matriarch. With six kids, and seven adults, it was wild and crazy and we all laughed a lot. Which I think is a very honest reflection of family life with kids. If you are after stuffy, unnatural photos of serious people, then I may not be the right photographer for you. But if jo ..read more

As a Family Lifestyle Photographer, I love inviting families to really connect and enjoy time together during their photoshoot. Think cuddles, laughs, exploration, dancing (if you want to), and joy. Lots and lots of joy. Melbourne bayside has so much to offer when it comes to outdoor sunset photography for your family. And we are so lucky to have that magnificent bay that quite often provides the most magical light as the sun lowers over the water. But Melbourne weather is a fickle friend which is why I also offer in-home family lifestyle photography too. These types of sessions are perfect fo ..read more

Lifestyle Photographer Melbourne – A Singapore Family

Lifestyle photography is the best way to photograph your family because it allows everybody to be themselves. There will always be a few 'stand together and smile' photos because I feel it's important to get those (and grandparents love them), but for the majority of the time we will just have fun and play. My job as your lifestyle family photographer is to help you relax and feel at ease in front of the camera. And you never know, you may forget that the camera is even there. This is the second time that I have photographed the Lim Family who visit Melbourne from Singapore every year with the ..read more

I recently met Gen & Tony for their Maternity Photoshoot and they chose to hire a photography studio for their session. This is a great option if an outdoor photoshoot doesn't feel right for you and you also don't want photos taken at home. If this is something you would like to discuss, let me know and I can advise options and costs for photography studio hire in multiple locations across Melbourne. And if you would like to wear something a little extra special for your maternity session, I can also provide options for Maternity dress hire. I have been working with Mama Rentals for many y ..read more

Affordable Newborn Photography – Baby Gabe

Newborn photography doesn't have to cost you thousands of dollars. But it is worth understanding what you are paying for when you book a newborn photographer. Photography is one of those unregulated industries where there is no set price for the services provided. And the services provided can also vary wildly. Here are just a few things to consider when searching for the right photographer for your newborn baby. How many years experience do they have? Are they a parent themselves? What do past clients say about them? Do I like their style? Are they insured? Are they registered? Do they offer ..read more

Extended Family Photography – The Tran Family

Getting the entire extended family together for a photoshoot is not easy, especially when people live in different countries. If you can make it happen though, it can be a wonderful way to document your time together. As well as create some beautiful memories for the cousins and the grown ups to look back on, especially grandparents - who might be missing out on seeing their grandchildren grow. The Tran Family session took place in Fitzroy gardens, right next to the city of Melbourne. This can be a great central location for multiple families to meet and is beautiful all year round. It offers ..read more
