        This month’s MCC photowalk was an outing to Williamstown and visiting Steve McCurry’s extraordinary ICONS exhibition. The weather was magnificent, an F8 or F16 day as they say, with beautiful vistas of Melbourne from Williamstown’s shoreline. Steve McCurry’s exhibition was exceptional and worth a visit if you haven’t seen it yet. This international exhibition by a world renowned and award winning photographer ends on Sunday 19th May 2024.         The 6th MCC International Women’s Day Exhibition was officially opened on Thursday night – the 50 attendees were welcomed by MC Kaye Linsdell, Board Member and IWD Exhibition Committee member. The exhibition was then officially opened by Deputy Mayor of the City of Port Phillip, Louise Crawford. Featuring more than 120 works along the theme of ‘The Female Gaze’, this year’s Exhibition celebrated the works of 50 female club members and guests.         Rebecca Croft presented at the MCC at Thursday’s club night event, with over 55 members attending the session, in person or virtually. Rebecca is an Australian Creative Photographer of the Year winner and showcased her Wild series of photographic prints.         It was a busy weekend at MCC with two outings – MCC Photowalk Community and the Nature Group having successful opportunities to have a day out of the city and practice capturing fast moving subjects. The fine weather provided ideal conditions for both outings, with around 26 people attending the Nature outing.
