After the success and positive reviews from the inaugural event at McCall Lake Golf Course in 2023, the event is back and heading north this season to the Broadmoor Golf Club in Sherwood Park August 6-8. Alberta Golf (High River) - Highwood Golf in High River will play host to the Alberta Men’s Senior Championship July 30 to August 1. Highwood Golf has hosted many provincial championships in recent years including the 2019 Alberta Junior Championship won by Carter Graf in the boys competition and Annabelle Ackroyd on the girls side. Alberta Golf (Calgary) - The 2024 Championship season in Alberta brings a number of new events to the province including the inaugural stand-alone Alberta Women's Mid-Amateur Championship to be held at River Spirit Golf Club in the foothills just west of Calgary. The event is scheduled for August 6-7 and is open to players who are aged 25+ as of July 10, 2024. This is the 4th time Red Deer has hosted the Women’s Amateur, the last time was in 2017, won by Sabrine Garrison.
