Say hello to Michael, our Distillery Experience Manager! We asked Michael to tell us more about what he does, what his regular day looks like and what he loves about working at Kingsbarns: “I look after the whole site with the exception of the whisky and gin production. This ranges from dealing with tour bookings to arranging the installation of EV chargers and everything in between. The managing of the team here also falls under my responsibilities but it is made easy as we have a great bunch of people on the team. My regular day would consist of a fair bit of office work, mixed with ..read more

Last year, we were thrilled to be featured on The Hairy Bikers Go Local on BBC Two! We had the pleasure of hosting David Myers and Si King at our distillery in the East Neuk of Fife. The Hairy Bikers were given the grand tour of our Distillery & Visitor Centre by our production manager, Peter Holroyd before heading to our tasting room to try our spirt for themselves. Our light, fruity and floral (now ex-flagship) single malt 'Dream to Dram' blew them away and inspired them to feature our lowland whisky in a classic Scottish dessert, Cranachan rice pudding.  Our fla ..read more

We've brought back an old friend! Smoke and Zest Gin was originally launched back in 2019 as a member of our Cottage Series Gins. Now that our Brand Manager has time to settle in and get his feet firmly under the desk, we thought it was about time we gave him a proper intro! Q: How did you get to where you are today? My love for whisky began when I turned 18 years old and I had asked my parents to book me on a WSET level 2 in Wines and Spirits course at the Tennent’s Academy in Glasgow. After I had passed the course, I knew I had found my true passion in spirits. So, I set my sights on finding work in the drinks industry, even basing my university dissertation on “Whisky Consumerism”. I got my first taste of th ..read more
