Last weekend saw our annual homage to the British Aerobatic Sports and Intermediate Nationals. The team consisted of many that had never competed before, plus a few seasoned pro's (you know who you are ). The British weather for once cooperated and we managed to fit all the sequences in two busy days. The team did superbly well and I think it's fair to say they learnt a lot.

Over the last few days, the British Aerobatics Sports and Intermediate Nationals have been hotly contest at the Flying Club Conington airfield. The standard of flying was incredibly high with scores of 80% or more not even getting a medal! The Ultimate Aerobatics Waltham contingent had a good couple of days with scholarship winner Stuart Baylis picking up a silver medal in the Sports. It should have been a gold but for a momentary loss of concentration! The weather called for a close a day early, however I think everyone left happy.
A massive congratulations to Andy McKee who won the Sports Na ..read more

Last week we had a very exciting adventure across the channel and into France to collect our new addition to the Ultimate Aerobatics family. We set off in the Cherokee 6 (seen here on the pan at Cherbourg where we stopped to clear customs in both directions) - we must thank Tom for his help as we couldn't have done it without him. We were really impressed with this great stalwart (the Cherokee 6 rather than Tom although he was great too) - which not only took us across France at a reasonable speed, but also managed to fit our spare Extra canopy in the cockpit for the return journey. We don't ..read more

After more than 25 years of running Freestyle Aviation, Alan Cassidy has decided to step down from running the business and hand over to Mike and I. This is an exciting new venture for us – although it is also quite daunting to follow in the footsteps of Alan, who has to be one of the most experienced Pitts instructors in the world!
We will continue to operate the aircraft from White Waltham Airfield, with West London Aero Club, but we will use our own brand of Ultimate Aerobatics. We’re also delighted that Alan will still share his experience and knowledge by continuing instruct (along with ..read more
