Late May / Early June Fishing Recap
Late May and Early June Fishing recap. Fishing locally up to Boynton has been Tuna ally for our charters and tournament team. There have been some Mahis and Sailfish mixed in with a load of Kingfish. Bites have been on Gogs and sardines from 100ft to 220ft. We’ve had some decent success in the couple tournaments we’ve fished with two Top 10 finishes and one 4th place finish. Fishing is still good thru the month of June so get out when you can. The big Hoos will start showing up on the next moon thru August. Tight Lines.

The Tournament of Opportunities
Wells filled with Gogs, Sardines and Speedos we made our trek north to Jupiter once again. Lines in at 7:30 had us in one of the most EPIC King bites we’ve seen to date. We put four weighers in the boat in the first 10 minutes of the tournament. A few drifts later we upgraded every fish and got sharked on one over 40lbs. I decided with 90+lbs of Kings (4 fish Max) to make one more drift. That last drift only yielded one King in the teens, but we had the fish we needed. Hooked up to a Stud Cobia that didn’t stay glued.  ..read more

Late May/Early June Fishing Report and Lovely Ladies Fish-off
Tunas, Tunas, Tunas early am bite and late afternoon have been the catch for the charters between Hillsboro Inlet and Highland Beach. Also, small Mahis and a few Sailfish have been a welcomed catch.
We fished the Ladies Fish-off this past weekend and our featured fish was the Kingfish. I knew I had to catch my kings before I went tuna fishing. At least that was the plan. However, a NOT so lovely sea greeted us for a long haul to Jupiter to catch our four Kings. Problem was MR SHARK didn’t allow us to catch and run. We fed numerous n ..read more

Mahi May-dness
Mahis have been abundant on the reefs when the wind blows east. Clients have been boating Mahis up to 30lbs, Blackfin Tuna to 30lbs and Kings to the mid 40’s. Sailfish have been hit or miss. We fished two tournaments the past two weekends and did very well in the first taking home 3rd overall, Top Mahi, Top Wahoo and finished with a KDW. The Saltwater Slam had us running in three separate area codes to try and find the bite. Unfortunately, we only caught a few tunas and a couple Kings that put us in a measly 28th place out of 105 boats. On to the next! The winds will consiste ..read more

Fishing is starting to SPRING into action. Kings have been biting inside the ledge between the steeple and Hillsboro Inlet. We had a monster “Yellowfin” eat a runner off the kite, but couldn’t slow him down and ended up burning him off. We’ve been getting at least one sailfish per charter and the Blackfin tunas are starting to show up with a couple bites per day. Frontal system coming through this weekend should bring some more sailfish action. Next week fishing should really start picking up with a consistent East wind, back side of the moon, and last frontal system of the year pushing throug ..read more

February 5 Fishing Recap
Full day charter with two gentlemen from Wisconsin.
Picked them up with a livewell full of goggle eyes and sardines. We cleared the inlet at 7:30 and ran north until we found some tide. Our first drift was off the Martini Glass just south of Boynton Inlet and yielded 2 small Kingfish. We made one more drift without a nibble. We got word of a Mahi bite on the north side of Boynton so we reeled them up and made a move a few miles north. Thankfully, that move paid off as we boated 6 nice gaffers within the next 30 minutes. The charter mentioned his bucket list was a sai ..read more
