A wonderful couple celebrated their beautiful, intimate ceremony at the popular Langtons House in Hornchurch. Following the “I do’s!”, we captured a few wind-assisted group shots, and took some time for Polaroids and portraits. Later, we moved to the lovely Le Moulin for tea, cakes, and fancy milkshakes. A beautiful day, here are a few of my favourites. Blue Steel Nailed it ;) D & D’s beautiful intimate wedding day at Langtons House, Hornchurch ..read more

Personal touches that make a wedding day

I love hearing about the personal touches on a wedding day, and this is one of the sweetest stories I’ve encountered. The bride, a school teacher, had her classroom assistant secretly have the children pen messages of love and congratulations, which were then attached to a bridal veil. It was a surprise gift in the lead-up to the wedding, one that was warmly received. On the day, the bride asked if we could use the veil with the attached messages in the photos. Yes! Of course! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to incorporate such a loving and thoughtful gift into the photos and jumped at the ..read more

On a wedding day, I'll make it a point to seek out friends and small families and have fun capturing a few portraits with couples, or small family groups. Creating memorable moments for families and friends is one of the highlights of my work, and I look forward to making the day even more special through their involvement. I find these small, close-knit family units, whether formed by siblings, cousins, or childhood friends, great fun to capture. I love the playful laughter among siblings, the hilarious shocking moments between friends, and the tender exchanges between grandparents and grandc ..read more

New Parents. When you're a new parent, you always think your baby, when unsettled and upset, is annoying to others, or you think their crying is really loud. It's not annoying, and the crying is never as loud as you think. On the day this lovely couple spent most of their time trying to keep their daughter content. She was very unsettled; it must have been the new surroundings and sounds; it was all too much for her. After finally getting her off to sleep, they weren't taking any chances, especially for a sip of water. Teamwork makes the dream work, as they say. I had sat down for my meal awa ..read more

As we get older, our grandparents become an increasingly precious part of our lives. They are a link to our past, and their wisdom and stories can provide valuable insights into our family history. They also play an important role in our present, providing love and support during times of need. Cherishing our grandparents means making the most of the time we have with them. It means listening to their stories, sharing our own experiences, and creating special memories that will last a lifetime. It also means showing them how much we care through both words and actions. I like to combine wedding consultations with a portrait experience and a walk in the park or local woods. It’s a great way to get to know each other, spend some time out and about, and have some fun creating images filled with love and laughter. There are countless benefits to being amongst trees and foliage that are great for promoting good mental health. Spending time in nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and potentially boost your immune system. The natural environment has a calming effect on the mind and body, which can lead to increased feelings of happiness and well-bein ..read more
