Hello all, I woke up yesterday after lying on my side, and my right ear was blocked and it has a ringing sound in it constantly. Nothing triggered this, so I'm not sure why it's after coming on all of a sudden.
A bit of a backstory, I was in a nightclub about 8 months ago, and since then my ear has been blocked/muffled (It was worse immediately after the nightclub, and it then eased). When I yawn or chew it occasionally 'pops' and is no longer muffled.
Throughout the last 8 months, there has been no ringing, just blocked/muffled hearing.. so I'm not sure why there's ringing now after sleeping ..read more

I'm going to preface this post by saying, try to read his articles without honing in too much on the TRT part. This is a man who can hear his tinnitus over Niagra falls. I'm simply listing this as an alternate bunch of articles for people to read for people.
I know people will say his tinnitus is ''stable'' so its easier to adapt but anyone has to admit it takes one hell of a person to hear tinnitus over Niagra falls and still live a long an fulfilling life.
Anyway here's the link if anyone is interested https://drnagler.supporttopics.com/?forum=466693

I don’t know how you guys do it with severe/catastrophic T that you can hear over everything.. I can’t do it anymore. I want to take my life but I’m scared god won’t accept me. I can’t fight anymore, it’s driving me insane and I don’t know what to do. How do severe and catastrophic sufferers find the will to live? When you can hear it over everything.. I’m sorry but this doesn’t go out to mild sufferers.. the ones who can sit in the car or watch and tv and all they hear is EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.. how do you guys do it? I can’t anymore. I want to go to sleep and just not wake up.

My mom has had tinnitus in both ears for 10+ years, it gets worse at times but always there. It’s a high-pitched note or multiple notes. She also has low-frequency hearing loss. She also has occasional visual/auditory migraines and is sensitive to loud noises.
She has tried vitamin supplements, hearing aids, and diet changes. Nothing has helped.
Any suggestions on things that would help?

I went to a concert tonight and I'm going to admit it was a vacation. I know going to concerts and listening to loud music is probably my cause. It's an ugly circle but it was fun for three hours....

Hi everyone. I started taking Sertraline and Gabapentin around the same time and only was on them for 6 days. have been off Sertraline and Gabapentin for almost a week now and the ringing has not died down. I have been to an acupuncturist, doctors, my psychiatrist, and I am getting into the ENT next week. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if the tinnitus eventually stopped. I really can't take the noise it's getting to me pretty bad.

My worst fear is that my tinnitus might get worse.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do if it gets too bad. Where I live assisted suicide is not legal, and I don't own any guns.
If it gets too bad, I won't be able to do anything about it, just suffer and be stuck with the pain and the noise.
I have tinnitus since 2021, but its only been unstable for the past 7 months.
What should I do if it gets too too bad?
