Snobette and its social media channels provide daily coverage of fashion, streetwear, sneakers, music and art. As a women-owned site, Snobette prioritizes the amplification of female creatives.

French label Jean Paul Gaultier has announced Hood By Air co-founder, Shayne Oliver, as the label’s next collaborative design partner. The 50-piece capsule will be branded as GLTR Sport and will include wide-leg denim, mesh tops and dresses, t-shirts and much more. The collection will launch on May 6, 2024, coinciding with timing of the Met Gala, a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
While Oliver is no longer involved with HBA, he continues to operate fashion label Anonymous Club and recently released a capsule of “Dirty White Heritage” hoodie, t-shirt and sweatpants.

New York-based women’s streetwear label MadeMe, helmed by Erin Magee, recently unveiled a preview of its collaboration with Hole, a ’90s-era punk founded founded by Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson. The capsule features hoodies, t-shirts, tank tops and shorts, emblazoned with MadeMe and Hole iconography.
The collaboration was previewed in Homme Girls Issue No. 11 with a Omahyra Mota cover story. Mota modeled looks from the capsule and participated in an insightful interview alongside Magee.

New York-based En Dieu, a label designed by twin sisters, has announced it’s restocking its popular The Chancla, a kitten heel silhouette insired by a mesh house slipper often referred to as a Chinese slipper.
While the design takes inspiration from a low-priced house shoe, En Dieu’s version of the shoe is made from leather and is beaded by hand. Offered in sizes 5-13, the shoe is available in either pink or black and comes packaged in a bow-adorned dust bag. Fenty by Puma has released a trio of Earth-toney Phatty Creepers offered in taupe, green fog and warm white. Featuring a nubuck leather upper, the monochromatic shoe is decorated with a gold-colored Puma logo on the medial side of the shoe and a gold-colored F on the heel.
Directed by Fenty CEO Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the latest campaign takes the concept of creeping to the next level with the 36-year-old mother two covered in foliage in imagery. Campaign images were shot by Philippa Price, formerly of streetwear design duo Guns Germs Steal.

Atlanta-based singer songwriter Babyrose (real name Jasmine Rose Wilson) has released “Slow Burn,” a bluesy, six-song EP. The project was made in collaboration with Canadian producers BADBADNOTGOOD, who gained fame through their work on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy winning Damn album among many other musical projects.
“Slow Burn” showcases Rose’s evolution within the alternative music category where she artfully blends elements of rock, blues, with deep roots in the Black American music.

Launched in 2020, New York-based label Maui x Lolita is lead by mother/daughter duo Lolita and Maui Malone, whose designs draw from their passion for style and their global travels. Building out on the “For FLy Girls Only” motto, the label recently launched a fragrance line and plans to expand accessory offerings.

Paris-based Jean Paul Gaultier has debuted a new collection with creative direction by Florence Tétier who assumed leadership of label when Gaultier retired in 2021. Tapping into the label’s archive, Tétier has breathed new life into some of the label’s most iconic items. The collection boasts trompe l’oeil tailoring, tit-bearing suspenders on statement trench coats, corseted denim and dramatic satin gowns.

Last night Bronx, New York-born photographer Renell Medrano was award the ICP Infinity Award for Commercial and Editorial Photography. Other honorees that evening were: Caryl S. Englander awarded the Trustees Award, artist Shirin Neshat the Lifetime Achievement award, Lynsey Addario the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism award, and Wendy Red Star the Contemporary Photography and New Media award.
