If you look under the newer vans they have underseal on the larger flat surfaces. The box sections have a rubberised material sprayed inside and the structural beams appear to be treated with a rust prohibitive paint finish. Some of the non structural and bolted on parts appear to show surface rust after a few years as they are lightly painted. The key fob for our 2010 transit is not working which means the only way to unlock our side panel door is to use the key in the drivers side door. This seems like a major fire hazard at night when we want to be in the van with all the doors locked as to get out, I have to hop over the top of the bench seat and get out of the van. Hey forum, just wondering if anyone has done or has any advice on what I am looking to do. I would like to take the two front seats in my MK7 transit jumbo, remove them and replace them with two front seats that are road legal and can be folded back into a bed. I have looked at rock n roll beds but struggling a bit tbh to get something that will fit the area. I surely cannot be the first person who has wanted to do this?
