Unable to play song ‘song’ - the song is not encoded correctly. Issue since 15.2

Since the 15.2 release there is quite a few songs that display this error when trying to play them.  These seem to be mainly songs that are not lossless.  They were purchased over time from Apple Music.  They will still play if I use the Apple Music app, but they will no longer play from Sonos app.  I suspect some lossy codex broke with latest release. Occurs with all my Sonos products.Is this a known issue?  ..read more

I think this question has been asked before - probably multiple times - but a search of the subject line didn’t find anything. I did however check to make sure I haven’t asked the question before…Is there anything to be gained by linking two halves of a stereo pair together with a crossover ethernet cable?Ok, I’ve asked it, and it looks stupid now it’s written down, but… the thinking is that one half of a stereo pair almost certainly gets sent the whole stereo signal via wifi - it just throws one half away.And of course the other half of a stereo pair needs the same amount of wifi bandwidth to ..read more

My question is related to Calm content NOT available via Sonos. For example, I can’t seem to locate “Your Favorites”, “Recently Played”. Is this a Sonos or Calm issue? I saw an earlier post that certain types of Music on Calm are not available via Sonos… BUT this is a different topic. Hi, I have just upgraded my Sonos soundbar from a Beam 2 to a Sonos Arc it seems fine however I cannot for the life of me get the Arc to connect to my Era 300,s I have reset the 300,s and turned the router off/on but the Arc won’t recognise the Era,s can anybody offer any advise as my patience has a hair trigger.Thanks in advanceRichard ..read more

Hello , I’ve made a purchase using Pay Pal , and it appears to be pending , since i’ve read that if its pending Sonos has not taken the money but Pay Pal has charged my credit card.How long does this usually take ?Should i cancel my order and shop elsewhere?Has anyone cancel a pending order ? Time is crucial since they are a gift.thanks for your help ..read more

Napster My Music by artist no longer displays library albums

Previously selecting Napster/my music/my artists/some artist used to show a list of albums that I had added to the Napster library.  After recent updates (not sure when) it now goes directly to the artist page without showing the album library information.  If I go on Napster directly it still shows albums I have added in the Music in Library section correctly.Is this functionality that is gone forever?  It was one of the main reasons I have stuck with Napster on Sonos because I like to listen to full albums and finding them sorted by artist makes sense.thanks in advance for any ..read more

Move 2 poor experience with turntable

I’ve been a longtime user of a Sonos One that I love. I’ve been getting into vinyl lately, but since the Sonos One doesn’t have a line in, I decided to purchase a Move 2 so that I’d have the line in for vinyl, but also have some portability around the house when I’m streaming music.I guess the Move 2 was not made with turntables in mind, because it does not work well for this purpose. I’m using a Pro-Ject T1 (also purchased from Sonos) and I have the Move 2 set with line-in autoplay turned on. I can’t see any mention of a (NAS) Music Library in the promotional content for the new Sonos App. There is plenty of mention of “favourite Music Services” though.Please please tell me that, unlike the new search, support for NAS music libraries is not being further sidelined? Hello Sonos gurus, my current setup in my 2 room apartment is:Android phone playing YouTube Music/TuneIn/whatever via BT Bedroom has a Como Audio Solo + Como Ambiente, forming a nice little stereo setup which recieves BT and duly plays the audio Living Room has an Aiyima D03 BT amp, which recieves the BT audio and powers 2 small but powerful-enough-for-me bookshelf speakersIt works just fine, except that I’m always moving between the rooms, and hence am always disconnecting & connecting the Como and the Aiymima on my phone. HiTuneIn had a promo last week, offing Premium for £39.99 for the year instead of £79.99, so i decide to bite. I have it set up on Sonos but it’s a bit “weird”,a dn I don’t know if it’s user error, TuneIn issue or Sonos issue.For example, if I click Browse Genres I get “no selections are available”, same for “Find your decade & genre station”. But if I click Music then Top Music Genres then Country then Top Country I can see some stations.
