Surrounds crackling when not playing Atmos content.

I currently have an Arc with two One SLs as rears connected to my TV (Samsung QN90A). I've noticed that the SLs tend to crackle every now and then when watching content on either my TV's native apps or a connected FireStick. This only happens on the SLs and not the Arc, and does not seem to be an issue when playing Atmos content. I'm not sure what the cause could be. submitted by /u/whoisthedave [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Home set up and Port question

I'm looking to set up my new home with Sonos. The living/dining space is about 450sqft. I'm thinking about a Beam and Sub Mini for the entertainment center to start, with surround options to follow in a later purchase (100s or Symfonisk). I also have a record player in this space that I use regularly, and an old Play:5 as the speaker. I was thinking about the Five to accommodate line out here, but I'm worried the sound profile of the Five could get mucked by the entertainment center audio in the same space. My office is 150sqft and serviced by Vanatoo T0 desk speakers that I'd like to integra ..read more

Spotify leaks suggest lossless audio is almost ready

Hopefully this is true after a few years of promises. I’m assuming it will be supported on Sonos like other services via the app, but ideally Spotify connect will work too. Maybe it will roll out the same time as the new Sonos app? submitted by /u/Abombito [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Audio Not Routing Properly

I have a Sony X950H connected to a Sonos Beam and Apple TV. When I turn on my tv, some of the time audio comes out of the tv, some of the time it comes out of the Beam, and some times it starts on tv and switches to Beam after ~5 seconds. Any way to make it always default to Beam? submitted by /u/ucallmecoltrane [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Old TV with no eArc

Hello everyone, I currently have the following setup: A Sonos Beam Gen 2 An Xbox Series X A TV without an eARC output What options do I have? The Xbox only has a single HDMI port, and the Beam 2 lacks an image output. Additionally, my TV does not have a suitable audio output. I plan to expand my setup with two Era 300 rear speakers and a Sub Mini, as I want to fully utilize Dolby Atmos. I came across some HDMI to eARC adapters and HDMI splitters online that might be useful. Would that be a reasonable approach? I will be gaming and streaming all with my Xbox. submitted by /u/hamlet-pod [vis ..read more

Can the sl one speaker be used as an extension?

I’ve got a Sonos arc and sub mini and it really sounds so good, my only complaint is I didn’t purchase one sooner I was thinking of picking up a pair of sl one speakers but instead of using them as surround sound speakers, I wanted to use them as extensions of the current system and use them in the kitchen so we can still hear the audio without having to crank up the main system. Would that work or are they mostly surround speakers that only play audio on certain programs that are coded for surround sound? A console table fixed my living room audio

Our sofa used to be pushed flush with the wall and we never loved the quality of the surround sound, being so close to the wall-mounted rears. What a difference a little space makes! Having a little gap between the sofa and wall made a world of difference, and having this table made the gap pass the spouse-test. Sharing since I see so many people asking for speaker placement advice in here with couch configurations similar to mine. submitted by /u/holmesersimpson [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Connecting record player to TV

So this might be a stupid question but anyway. I have myself Sonos set up as a surround system with Beam, mini-sub and two Era 300’s. It sounds amazing and I’m very pleased with it. I also have a Sony record player with Bluetooth. It also has two RCA cables (red and white) and I was wondering if I can connect these to my TV and listen to them over my surround system? If so, would there be any drawbacks to this? submitted by /u/riktuin [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Sonos Connect and Amazon Speaker Groups

I want to be able to listen to my turntable throughout my house. I have a bunch of Amazon Echo devices. I am wondering: if I purchase a Sonos Connect or Port will I be able to broadcast my turntable through the Connect and out to the Amazon speaker groups. Or does the Connect only send audio to other Sonos devices? There seems to be some conflicting info on the web. submitted by /u/AnAtomicPunk [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
