Hi, I and my wife are visiting Australia on 10 May. We'll reach Melbourne on 10th Morning after a loong flight. I'm planning to be in Australia for around 18 days. Below is how I've planned to visit different places:
Melbourne - 5 days
Sydney - 4/5 days
Gold Coast and Byron Bay - 4 days
Whitsundays - 4 days
Fly back to syndey to catch the flight back home.
I would love some recommendations for this trip. Both of us are interested in doing outdoor/adventure activities.
Questions:
How should I travel internally from 1 city to other? Flights or bus? I found Jetstar for flights and Greyhound f ..read more

Title says it all. Most of the research I’ve done says Australia prohibits entry of felons from the US. Is this true or is there updated information?

Hi,
We had booked flight tickets to Alice Springs in Jul with a view to do the following activities:
The Alice Springs Show
Alice Springs School of the Air Guided Tour
Royal Flying Doctors (RFDS) Alice Springs Facility
Alice Springs Desert Park
Sunset Camel Ride
More recently, we learnt about the crime situation there and are concerned enough about it to wonder whether it would be prudent to travel elsewhere (and incur flight change fees) for our Australian vacation.
On the other hand, we would consider following through on our plan to holiday in Alice Springs if it can be done safely.

I’m traveling in Australia and wondering if it is legal for me to buy vapes online while I’m here? I have heard so many different things about it but I don’t want to get caught out.

Hi! Looking for suggestions on how we should go by our 1-day trip on the GOR.
For context, we are self-driving from Melbourne (Docklands if it matters). We only have 2 drivers in our group and we prefer to not drive for too long at a time. Our current plan is to follow the Melbourne - Geelong - Torquay - Angelsea - Lorne - Apollo Bay - go back to Melbourne. Do you think this route is feasible?
Also, would be great to get some recommendations on foods/restaurants/cafes throughout the route.
TIA!

I am going to be heading on my second road trip up north from Melbourne to Townsville, the last trip was a bit of a adventure as i did not anticipate having no phone signal or fuel stations having no set open times.
Any information on the best route up the middle of Australia? (Google sent me on unpaved roads last time)

Hi,
Will be travelling for my upcoming birthday for the period 29th May to 4th June.
Should I go North? or go South / Southern Highlands.
Not keen on a beach front given the season at the time, so something practical for 5 adults and 4 kids. Something with amazing views, near a farm (for the kids), golf course (adults), good restaurants. Any rec on luxury accommodation, private chef etc would be good too.
I just came back from a Shellharbour trip 2 weeks ago, enjoyed it though a tad cool for the beach.
Thank you!

I am doing a roadtrip from Adelaide to Darwin and had a question about my itinerary for the second half from Alice Springs to Darwin! I posted earlier in the week about how I was on the edge of doing a trip like this because I was going to be alone, and people were telling me I might be crazy. Everyone on here was so kind and helpful with encouragements and concerns.
Since then I have found a friend to join me for the first half of my trip, she then is leaving from Uluru and flying back to work. Woo!
From Uluru, I plan to drive to Alice Springs and spend two nights there tenting at Discovery ..read more
