A girl and boy meet and go on an adventure in a fantastical world. I loved this show because it has such a cool setting and reminds me of the stories that got me into anime in the first place, like Nausicaa. The world is absolutely gorgeous. An uncle who loves SEGA goes to another world. Yet another isekai which managed to put a unique twist on the concept. This time the main character is a total moron and he tells the story after the fact to his nephew. It’s a very strange way to tell a story but I felt that it worked quite well. It starts out with a baby beating up a dragon and only gets dumber from there. I love shows like this that just let it all out and go crazy. It was a ton of fun to watch even if objectively speaking it wasn’t the best story or anything. Another isekai, this one with cooking. It had parts that were very generic isekai feeling, but it did enough to stand out I thought. I enjoyed the cooking parts, I enjoyed the monsters he tamed (both the wolf and the slime had a lot of personality) and I enjoyed the four goddesses fighting over his offerings. The main character goes from brother to sister, then makes friends. I fully expected this anime to be trash, but it was shockingly wholesome. I mean, it did end with the main character’s sister grabbing their dick, but it was still such a wholesome show about being trans and accepting yourself and making friends. High school romance / slice-of-life show. I liked this manga and the anime adaptation did not disappoint. Honestly it’s better. The anime is exceptionally well made, very good use of time and smoothly animated. The creators appreciated the important parts (Misuzu and Carol) and downplayed the dull parts (Tomo and Jun). Commentators interact with the characters of a dating sim. I do have to appreciate just how many variations there have been on the basic premise of the isekai. This show takes it in yet another direction. The show is fun, cute and light-hearted. A very enjoyable watch that you don’t have to think about too hard and that doesn’t stress you. A handyman goes to another world. This certainly had its moments (mostly centered on the old wizard) but for the most part it wasn’t too memorable.
