However, one draft analyst projects CU’s Heisman hopefuls to hear their names called in succession as the top two overall picks. CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson released his first 2025 NFL mock draft on Sunday and the quarterback Sanders was featured as his No. 1 overall pick, heading to the Carolina Panthers. Colorado Buffaloes Wire
by Tony Cosolo

The 2024 NFL draft came and went without any Colorado Buffaloes football players hearing their names called for the third straight year. While a handful of players signed as undrafted free agents, next year’s draft should be a little more active for the Buffs. Colorado was an NFL talent factory when it was winning games in the late 1980s and 90s, with guys like Michael Westbrook and Alfred Williams drafted in the first round. As of late, the names have come few and far between, however. CU hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2011 when Nate Solder and Jimmy Smith were drafted. The Buffaloes en ..read more
